At Printfresh, we are deeply committed to connecting with organizations in our area that help cultivate creativity, especially when they focus on youth. Each quarter we pledge a percentage of our sales to these organizations, to support this mission. We're happy to announce that for Q4 2018, our selected partner is the Portside Arts Center! We will be donating 5% of all online sales to their organization, with a minimum donation of $250.

Portside first opened its doors in January of 2008. The creator, Kim Creighton, wanted to create a space for the artists of tomorrow to grow and thrive creatively. Coming up on its 10 year anniversary, the nonprofit center has installed a 42-week after-school arts program that includes evening adult classes, a youth summer arts camp, the ArtsMobile outreach initiative, and an annually community arts festival.

The importance of Portside is immeasurable to families in the surrounding Fishtown, Port Richmond and Kensington communities. Every month Portside provides 30 families with subsidized tuition for their After School Art Program. Portside's Summer Art Camp impacts over 100 kids every summer, and in 2018 Portside was able to fund $6,000 in scholarships and tuition subsidies to 20 families.

Portside also founded the Portside Artsmobile, a mobile arts center with the mission is to deliver visual arts integration to local schools during the day, in the classroom, at no cost to the school. This project is designed to improve student learning through high quality arts education as well as to provide school teachers an opportunity to learn about arts integration hands on.

No matter if you are an adult with an interest in art or a child just learning how to explore your creativity, Portside opens its doors to you to inspire and get creative. We are proud to be supporting such a great organization this quarter!
