  • The Pattern: Like many of our designs, Flamenco was originally created as a gouache painting, incorporating elements of both the botanical world and animals. We simplified our elephant design with surrounding vines, but something was still missing. The famous Spanish flamenco dance, imitating the courtship display of the flamingo in both its style of movement and dress, proved to be the perfect inspiration for our elephant’s new companion. The joyful dance between these beings brings a sense of steady calm to our every day.
