Behind the Collection: Printfresh Bridal
The Printfresh Bridal Collection has made its grand entrance with a capsule of wedding-inspired prints and colors designed for the big day. After endless requests for bridal specific pajamas, we’re thrilled to introduce shoppers to a range of sleepwear styles that can be mixed and matched for getting ready prep and beyond. Go behind the scenes of the making of the collection with me and take a peek into the team photoshoot that helped bring the pjs to life.
Being a Part of a Bride's Big Day
I love that customers have included us in their big day and will continue to do so now with this bridal pajama collection. It’s so special to see groups of friends mix and match with different prints and colors for their getting ready moments. Choosing sustainably made pajamas is a great way for brides to dress thoughtfully and with intention for such a big occasion.
The Inspiration Behind the Prints
We wanted to put together a collection that would lend itself seamlessly to whimsical weddings. Our Bagheera print is probably our most popular bridal choice, and so it was a no-brainer to build the collection around the satin, off-white Wedding Cake. Our classic cotton Bagheera in a new Something Blue color seemed like the perfect addition for bridal parties. We also wanted to add a couple of completely fresh options, and had so much fun designing the quirky Happily Ever After motif as an illustrative nod to Bagheera when she gets married. And last but not least, Bubbly Brunch was just a fun idea to have little embroidered champagne bottles that are perfect for weddings but also lots of other celebratory occasions!
Mixing & Matching Pajamas
We have such a fun mixture of patterns where there’s truly something for every aesthetic and theme, so I’m really looking forward to seeing how bridal party members mix & match these styles to best fit their tastes. Bagheera is always a good idea, it’s quirky and easy to coordinate with the variety of colors that are available. The Wedding Cake and Something Blue are great picks, but there’s also Ink, Blush and Tobacco that make for lavish choices. I can also definitely see bridal parties pairing Bubbly Brunch with Pop the Bubbly. I stitched the embroidered champagne bottles for a look that feels super feminine and fun, especially on the new Starlit Sky Nightgown that’s a great option for a preppy bride.
A Peek Inside the Photoshoot
To really capture the feeling of an authentic wedding day, we created a mock getting ready experience with some of our Printfresh team. From hair and makeup to bridal toasts, it was a full day of wedding preparation that felt like the real thing. Team members took turns being the “bride”, while everyone else played their wedding party roles perfectly! The photoshoot took place at the very beautiful Rohehouse Fishtown, the perfect backdrop for photos that looked effortless. We even enlisted the expertise of professional wedding photographer Kelly Giarrocco to document the day. From Bagheera group shots to portraits destined to inspire any bride to be, we’re so excited to see how shoppers take to these photos!
