Sincerely, Amy | Time for Fall

From Paris to India and back to the States just in time for a brand new satin launch, these last few weeks have certainly been a whirlwind of excitement. Before traveling on to India for our bi-annual check-in with the factories, Christiane, Molly, Jackie and myself first stopped in Paris for inspiration gathering. We stayed at La Fantasie which I saw on The Englishroom’s roundup and knew I just had to check it out. It was such a gorgeous interior and so inspiring - I highly recommend it for a girls trip or romantic getaway. We had a quick 36 hours there, but shopped around and were in awe of the gorgeous merchandising in the stores and streetstyle. After an incredible experience at the Dior Gallerie and of course some delicious French meals, Molly and I headed to India where we went to Mumbai for the first time. I absolutely loved it. I can't wait to go back! We had a blast walking around, taking in the beautiful architecture, and sketching. The restaurants and shopping were so great, and next time I would definitely want to see the Elephanta Caves. 

Since returning I’ve been so excited about the new satin loungewear launch. We have been talking about doing a jumpsuit for ages but it’s difficult to figure out a silhouette that works on a broad variety of heights and sizes. It took some time to sort out what should be our debut style but I feel like the Jaipur Jumpsuit is a great addition to the luxe line! The Rittenhouse Set has some fun trimmings that I’ve been wanting to experiment with to bring in even more color and pattern to our sleepwear styles. It’s a more maximalist look which is also really chic to wear for casual entertaining with friends. Finally, we have the Stevie Set. It’s Jackie’s favorite style since she loves a fashion moment and I’ve been loving more oversized tops (more of that to come in future collections!). We also debuted Untamed Tiger as well as Bagheera in a new Wine colorway. While I’m not one for trends, this deep rich color is such a beautiful hue for this time of year. Untamed Tiger is very on-brand as we love a big cat print - and I wanted to do something with a light colored tiger and palm trees. This print came together with these two Printfresh beloved motifs easily. We added some fun graphic trimming to the robe to complete the look!

Now that we’re officially in fall, it’s time to get cozy! I love making soups and chili, homemade mulled wine and decorating with some help from the local farmstand. Soon it’ll be time to trick or treat (my neighborhood becomes a zoo!). The kids will first help me hand out candy, then I’ll take the youngest out around the block with her bestie - while my oldest goes with a friend. How about you? Pumpkin spice or skip?...I will do one, and love it - but that’s it.

Favorite Halloween candy?...Reese's peanut butter cups in ghost shapes.

Paint pumpkins or carve them?...Paint of course! The more time intensive the better.

Favorite fall food?...Fruit crisps! I have a ton of pears from our pear tree that I’m going to work into making a crumble.

Apple or pumpkin picking?...Apple. I make an amazing Tart Tatin. 

Halloween costume?...Forever a witch.
