Sincerely, Amy: A Slow Down Summer
Last summer my family and I were incredibly busy with our multi-country tour of Europe. This year, we are eager to stay closer to home to maximize our time at the beach and work on our surfing skills. I’m looking forward to creating some memorable meals with friends on the grill and going for lots of hikes and beach walks.
I hope to schedule a few weekend getaway trips, but I’m going to try a more relaxed approach to planning and see how that goes! A long weekend in New York is always fun- the kids adore it there and I love any excuse to spend time at our Upper East Side Printfresh store. After stopping into the city, it’s nice to head Upstate to hike and see friends. An overnight stay at the Hotel Tivoli makes for a perfect escape.
Now that we’re in the thick of summer, it’s time to do a closet organization session. I like to do a big one around this time to plan out outfits and move things around to bring the most fun and easy pieces to the front, as well as store out of season items away to free up space. Though I have my go-to staple pieces each summer, footwear is usually always necessary to update since it’s easy to wear through shoes. I think that comfortable dressing is always in fashion, so I’m all about these MOU Lovecraft Footbed Sandals. The fuchsia color is so fun and goes great with most of our Summer Shop collection! Our printed cotton dresses are obviously a must-have addition to your summer wardrobe.
I’ve loved seeing all of the photos our shoppers have shared of their new dresses. Fun fact, we have even more great apparel pieces coming right around the corner… I can’t wait for you all to see.
