Hello Upper East Siders: Meet the New Printfresh Store
After opening their first store in SoHo, Printfresh is eager to expand and welcome shoppers to their new Upper East Side location. With a bigger footprint in a historic neighborhood, the destination will serve as an optimal shopping experience for print enthusiasts. Go behind the scenes of the new store with Founder Amy Voloshin to get the low-down on what customers can expect from the fabulous shop.
What attracted us to choosing this specific location for the new store?
We have a lot of customers in the Upper East Side and I’ve been finding myself spending more time up there these days. I love the iconic NY landmarks like The Carlyle and Central Park, as well as all of the amazing museums. Retail has been growing up there and Lexington and Madison Avenues are seeing a great resurgence after the last couple of years.
What’s different about this store compared to our SoHo location?
The concept for this store was to take the feeling of a luxurious walk in closet and really make it feel bright and inviting. This store is much larger (from our SoHo store) so we were able to spread out a bit more and utilize the space in a way that showcases each pattern in a beautiful way through custom built in sections and my favorite wainscotting. The overall look matches our new branding as well, so it just feels like a breath of fresh air. We also knew in this new location that we wanted to have space to host events (stay tuned for our upcoming sips & shopping and in-person book club!). We love to gather and connect in personal settings, and this space is much easier to host events and share new collections with you all.
What kind of experience are you hoping shoppers will have here?
I hope that it becomes a cozy place to find something special for yourself, or to make your gift giving easy. I hope to connect with you and share our designs in a creative, immersive experience.
How do you think Printfresh will fit into the neighborhood and what are some of the neighboring stores you’re really loving?
We have a lot of customers there, and it’s so lovely to have customers who know and love us come into the store to experience the product in person. As far as neighboring Upper East Side stores, I'm really loving Frances Valentine, Gracious Home, Goyard, Hermes, Golden Goose, Stubbs & Wootton, Ba&sh, Everything But Water, Love Shack Fancy and Clic.
Can you talk about the opening party and all the fun stuff that happened?
We had so much fun the other week with our opening party. We had a great time with a live DJ, custom cookies with our prints on them, and a ribbon cutting (with the Bagheera print as the ribbon!). It was a great day with lots of friends, family, and super fans all sharing in the festivities.
Any other details you’d like to share about the store?
Be sure to check out the changing rooms, the fitting rooms are one of my favorite parts of the store. The wallpaper is incredibly fun, and the pocket doors are wallpapered so it feels a little bit like a secret passageway.
The Printfresh Upper East Side store is located at 1019 Lexington Ave New York, NY. Store hours are Monday-Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 12-6.
