I’ve been wanting to create a print that was a little more vintage in feeling, and thought an apple pattern in Red Delicious would be fun to explore. Apple pie is one of my children’s favorite desserts so I always love it when they are in season. During our yearly upstate New York trip we plan a day to pick apples at a local farm so we can use our bounty in the most amazing pies!Â
Behind the Print: Red Delicious
We like the idea of having a few smaller scale (but still whimsical patterns) in the mix for shoppers. We’ve gotten such a great reaction to our nightgowns and smaller patterns (like In Bloom) look especially nice on them. Adding a handful of minimal prints into the collection is a great way to see what our customers are drawn to.Â
There’s going to be a few natural elements featured in the upcoming collections for fall and we can’t wait for everyone to see them! This print fits in well with autumn because apples are the ultimate fruit for the season. They feel reminiscent of back to school days where the perfect present for your teacher was a red delicious.Â
This print is great for the educators in our lives! It’s such a fun, age-old nod to year’s past. It’s also a fabulous pattern for those who love to bake and enjoy vintage prints in general. We’re all looking forward to our new Retro Dreams nightgown silhouette so this pattern will pair perfectly with that style. Wearing it around the house will give off some serious nostalgic vibes and I’m here for it!
